Similarity may help you to gain more free space both on your hard drive as well as on your multimedia player, because it has the task of looking among your music files to find those that are duplicated. To do so it uses three techniques: contents difference, ID3 tags and a final one with an internal algorithm just in case the first two are precise enough.

  Very few people have their multimedia library totally organized, that is why Similarity, that offers support for MP3, MP2, OGG, WMA, ASF, AAC and M4A files, can help them to change this. Since it can easily read all kinds of tags (ID3v1, ID3v2, APEv2, WMA, Vorbis tags) and edit them, it will be very easy to find similarities and delete the files that are no longer necessary.
